Anna Strongman
Chief Executive Officer

Anna is OUD’s CEO and will have overall project oversight of all sites within the OUD portfolio.

Anna was formally the Managing Partner of Argent LLP, one of UK’s leading property companies, responsible for award winning developments Brindleyplace, Paradise Circus, King’s Cross and Brent Cross Town (BXT)​.

Tom Clark
Planning Director

Tom is OUD’s Planning Director and is responsible for planning strategy and securing consent for all sites within the OUD portfolio. Tom will be the planning lead and main point of contact for all planning and engagement activities at Begbroke.

Tom joined OUD from the Wellcome Trust where he led the planning process to expand the Wellcome Genome Campus in Cambridgeshire. The permission secured 150,000sqm of flexible R&D floorspace with 1,500 campus-related worker homes and supporting social infrastructure.

Sebastian Balcombe
Senior Land & Planning Manager

Seb is the project lead for Begbroke and is responsible for the business plan, programme, and ultimate delivery of the site.

Seb has 15 years’ experience working on the planning and delivery of residential-led strategic projects, including North Horsham and the award-winning Chobham Manor.

Aaron Crawford
Senior Development Manager

Aaron is the lead for design development of all University-Linked Housing for OUD, including circa 800 new homes on Begbroke.

Aaron joins OUD from Native Land, where he was Head of Design and Product, working on schemes such as Burlington Gate (Mayfair), Holland Park Villas (Kensington) and Stirling Prize shortlisted NEO Bankside (South Bank).    

Tom Bray-Smith
Chief Financial Officer

Tom joined from Guild Living, an L&G funded joint venture and a developer and operator of senior living communities, where he was Finance Director.

Prior to joining Guild Living, he was part of the team that launched Legal & General’s later living business with the acquisition of Inspired Villages Group in 2017, followed by the acquisition of four villages operating under the Renaissance Villages brand later that year.

Prior to joining Legal & General, Tom worked for Grant Thornton, advising lenders on distressed positions and corporates on the raising of debt financing. Tom is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and holds a Frist Class Honours degree in Accounting and Finance.
